SKY IN SIGHT
A parable on age
The beauty and difficulty of old age are staged with the poetry of visual theatre.
An old fisherman sets off on a great journey with his young friend, perhaps his last journey. He encounters seas of people, messengers from the sky, schools of fish and an unexpectedly large catch.
Collages of interviews with people who have been alive for a very long time are interspersed with the story like the old fisherman's thoughts. Fiction meets documentary evidence.
At the end of the production, the audience is invited to linger in an installation, read texts, listen to interviews, see pictures and drink a coffee...
...and maybe have a little chat with the old fisherman.

Funding
Sky in Sight is a co-production with the New York Musical Academy and the international puppet and street theatre festival La Strada Graz. Supported by the Fonds Darstellende Künste and the Stiftung Braunschweiger Kulturbesitz. A cooperation with the Europäisches Straßentheaterfestival Detmold and the Theaterhaus Mitte Berlin.
